What are we living for?

This is the question I have heard recently many many times. It’s such a simple question, yet very difficult to answer. At some point of your life, y’all have to make a decision, one way or the other.  Which one suit you better? or which one will straight your life to what you want ultimately. No one knows… until you find out on your own.

Broadly, we all are one kind of animals. Some religions might not so agree with me, but unfortunately scientifically it’s the truth. [If you can show me God or prove that we all are sharing the same gene since we all have Adams & Eve as grand-grand-grand…….. parents. I will accept that we are the special living thing, not one of animals.]   Thinking of us as animal, it’s easy to answer that we are living for saving & expanding our species--mankind. But our lives can do so much more things than that.  That’s why it’s so complicated.

By the fact that human has what others [animal] don’t (have much), brain, we probably use our brain too much [or too much less?] we all think of how to become successful people. Again ‘success’ is also a subjective word since success for one person might be only very first step of how to achieve the goal of another, or it might be the thing some would like to avoid.

It starts getting more and more confusing when talking about thought since there is no clear line to distinguish all this thing. Let’s get thing clearer and simpler. When we were young, we all have dream of being something we were not [yet to be, at least]. Super hero? Teacher? Cop? Soldier? prince/princess? or whatever you named it. That’s one thing we were living for, pursuing our dream, but again our dream keeps changing by the time or things surrounding us. Our dream mostly started from imaginary and came back down to be more realistic once we grew up. We basically have plenty of dreams in common, such as family. We all like to have healthy family and/or kids. Watching our kids grow up, but when all little kids become big boys/girls. They will have their own lives, like you have. Don’t get lost here, don’t assume that kids’ dreams are yours. You might accomplish raising your kids, but it’s only you again, what do you do for the rest of your life?

Up to this, now you know that this question is not about others, no one can answer that, but yourself, only you. It’s truly individual. The real question would be what exactly are ‘you’ living for? cut all the crap we all have to do. Sit back, relax, and ask what do you want for ‘your’ life? That likely will be what you are living for. Go get it! The faster you reach your dream, more time to go get your next dream. Well, eventually, we are living for pursuing our many many dreams, ain’t we?
